Big rooms with 2 beds and accommodating staff. Particularly good and marvellous location in Ames very close to convenience stores, three different areas and food establishments. Also, in a college town.

We truly enjoyed it. The hotel was a great place for enjoying a fairly nice area, really close to dirt in the corners, a Mexican restaurant and convenience stores. Comfortable and perfect location - within short walking distance to everywhere we needed.

I recently stayed at Econo Lodge for a weekend anniversary party. The room was clean and the bed was very comfortable. I also appreciated the new floors after the remodeling. The hotel was reasonably priced compared to others in the area and conveniently located near the party venue. They even had smoking rooms available and an indoor pool. Although I couldn't try the breakfast, everything else about my stay was great.
Would definitely recommend this hotel.
